can the team tell me if the 2006 award winning Panasonic TH37PX60 is able to cope with 24 fps. The reason i ask is i want to wait a while till xmas to get a BD player (hopefully all the probs ironed out by then), because if it does not then i will have a tv thats not much cop for Hd films. Dont want to replace a 19 mth old tv yet. Thanks

I'm sad to say i'm pretty sure it won't - I can't think of a 2006-vintage set that did: there just wasn't the need back then, as the specs for Blu-ray/HD DVD were still unfinished and the players themselves still more than a year away (and even the first players weren't 24fps).

Don't shoot the messenger....

I have the same t.v. as you and it won't accept 24fps, but worry not, it doesn't ruin movies in fact for the most part of the film you don't really notice any screen judder, it mainly occurs on panning shots. I do notice the screen judder i won't lie to you but some people would be able to tolerate it fine, it depends on the individual. Hope this helps.
