I bought most of my set up from Grahams HiFi in Islington: http://www.grahams.co.uk/. I've always been more than happy with their service and have no reservations recommending them. Nice range of kit, knowledgeable staff and good listening rooms.

No problem. I've seen from one of your other threads that you're looking at entry-level amps. Whilst Grahams stock some entry-level product, most of their kit is mid to very high-end. I've bought a few accessories from Bartletts Hi Fi in the past: http://www.bartlettshifi.com/about.asp, which is in Holloway. They stock a good range of entry level products, as well as some mid to high-end kit. I've not auditioned anything there, so can't comment very much on their service. Though Bartletts seems like a friendly and knowledgeable shop. There is, of course, also Richer Sounds (http://www.richersounds.com/), who have a number of branches in London. It looks like they stock most, if not all, of the amps on your short-list and they're competitive on prices. Richer Sounds is certainly worth considering and has its place, though I think it's fair to say that it's a different Hi Fi shopping experience at RS when compared with somewhere like Grahams. I'm not sure how many of the RS branches have proper listening facilities. It's obviously always worth checking different dealers and the net to get an idea of prices. A lot of dealers will price match.

I've auditioned in Bartlett's and bought from there, they are pretty helpful. I think you need to have questions ready to ask them, they might otherwise assume knowledge on your part you might not have (that's not an insinuation by the way, I have no idea how "hifi-savvy" you are!).

I recently went down to Unilet (aka Custom Cable) in New Malden. Phil was very helpful and welcoming, he posts on here quite a bit these days too. They have loads of stuff at different price points, some used too, and two listening rooms. Reckon I'll be going back there myself if I'm auditioning new stuff.
