Best headphone 3.5mm replacement cable

Hi, ive been looking for a replacement cable for my headphones and every result seems to be for use at home. I need a cable for when im walking around. Does anybody have suggestions for a good quality cable that i can use on the move?

I thought I would rejuvenate this old thread (that never got any replies) as I now find myself in the same position with my pair of AKG portables.

The cable has 3.5mm plugs at each end and has taken a fair old battering but never really seemed to be up to the job in the first place. It is rather thin and suffers from some microphony.

Does anyone know of / have experience of replacement / upgrade cables (approx 1m long) that might be available?
