Hi there,

I currently have some cheap Eltax Monitor bookshelf speakers, and am soon to be moving to a bigger house, with a larger music room, and want to invest in some floorstanders to give a fuller sound and deeper bass. What do you guys consider to be the best value floorstanders for under £100? I know this isn't much money at all, and please say if you think it's a false economy and I shoul dwait until I have more money avaliable for these! all the moneey seems to be going on the house at the moment!

(currently have a £150 Technics CD player and a £120 Kenwood amp, and a Project turntable)

Many thanks,

You are right....£100 is not a lot for a set of new floor standers. However, if you were to down the 2nd hand ebay route, you'd get far more for your money.....an example being, that you maybe able to get a set of KEF Q35s for that sort of money, and they were £300 when new.

It would of course be better to listen to the speakers with the equipment that you have, but that isnt always possible.
