Hi Gurus

I'm looking at a new mid-range setup... Getting the Denon 2310 is pushing my budget but looks gr8. My problem is to get a good set of speakers as I have some drawbacks:

Typical small UK house and very young twin daughtes so I can't do floor standing and I need it to be compact. Can anyone propose some options and save me from buying a set of Bose Acoustimass 15's

Thanks in advance

J

B&W MT30 (or MT25 if you can't stretch to it) or Kef KHT3005.s3-w (or slightly cheaper KHT3005.se-k2) would be the obvious choices.

recently bought Kef3005se, and they sound great. I also tested the b&w mt25 but prefered the eggs. In the set up i listened to, the kef had a slighly more impressie sub, the centre speaker made dialog much more detailed and the clincher was the discount making the kefs £200 cheaper than the mt25.

The satelites all have small table stands that can be used as wall mounts

the only reservation i have is that the sub has exposed drivers on both sides; not vary child or pet safe

good luck

I'd recommend that you take a look (and listen) to the B&W MT-30s. I've paired them with a Denon 2310 in, what sounds like, similar circumstances to yours. There hasn't been a second where I've regretted this decision..

Cheers
