I'm using an Audiolab 8000x7 to bi-amp my Dali Ikon 6 front pair and I'm bridging 4 of the channels into 2 for the bass drivers.
I think the next logical move is to sell the Audiolab and buy a second hand Parasound HCA-2205A or such like, 5 channel amp and use 4 channels to bi-amp the Dalis. Or should I buy two 2 channel power amps? One for bass and one for treble? Would this be more expensive second hand and which to get?
Question is this: Which is the best 5 channel power amp to replace the Audiolab with. The sound from the Audiolab is an improvement on my Denon AVC A10SE, but only just. It's the bi-amping that's worked best so I'd like to continue it. Am I on the right track?
