Best £2000 AV Amp, Best £2000 Speakers, Best £1000 DVD player

Hi everyone,

Very new here 🙂 How do one spend £5000 on an AV system (I already have a good Plasma TV). I have to admit I am biased towards NAD or Rotel or Primare or Arcam. I prefer my sound a little restraint and these systems seem to do that.

Any advice??

Of those you mentioned, it will be worth waiting for the Arcam AVR600, which will be out soon at around £2300. Stick with Arcam for DVD players as well.

We usually recommend Miller & Kreisel speakers when it comes to AV systems, but if you prefer smoother systems, try a couple of Dali packages as these tend to be more mellow than many other packages.
