Beolab 5 or 9 and Plinius -how good, how good together and how to get an audition

I would love the Plinius 9200 amp with cd 101, and like the look of Beolab 5 or Beolab 9 but have not yet heard either. Before I even get into the efforts of setting up auditions is this configuration going to makes sense i.e. matching appropriate qualities of kit ? And for the considerable sum of money involved, are we really takling a mind blowing set-up here ?

Given B&O are single brand, I presume that an audition is going to involve getting the Plinius seller to bring the kit to the B&O shop.

And with the correct adapter cable - as we discovered when we tested the 9s - they can work extremely well with other brands' sources and preamps.
