I have a pair of diamond 9.1's that were picked up cheap (£70) and as such
are currently used a computer speakers with a lovely old Quad 405. Thinking
that both bits of kit could be put to better use I intend re-jig the office set
up and pair the speakers up with a receiver in the bedroom.
What I want form the set up will be alarm clock functions (a must), radio, i-pod
connectivity or a usb/sd input at a minimum and preferably of diminutive size
as it will be sitting on my bed side table. I’m really not bothered
about cd as it won't be used.
So far I have seen the Cambridge Audio Sonata DR30 @ £250
which dose all I want and nothing more. I have also seen a Denon DF102DAB @
£200 which dose all I want although it doesn’t have a proper i-pod dock and it does
have cd.
Any suggestions would be well received,
My budget is as little as possible so feel free to suggest
older/second hand setups if any spring to mind
