Hi. Does anyone know if it is possible to get 2 into 1 banana plug sockets? I would like to use my PMC speakers as part of a 7.1 system as well as feeding my Arcam HiFi into the PMC's. It occours to me that the ideal way would be a three way female socket or a male to double female socket. Can any one help and do you see any problems?

You can't do it like that you will damage one or both of the amplifiers.

You need to either get a speaker switch box or run your hifi amplifier for the front speakers all the time and connect you AV amp via its pre-outs to the AV inputs on the Arcam, depending on which Arcam you have you should be able to set its AV inputs to a fixed level.

It is very bad idea to connect speakers this way.

Have you ever thought what would happen when you turn on both amps at the same time?

Nothing good. For sure.

Thanks to you both. so I won't do that, in my defence I never use them both at once fact I rarely use the hifi, which is bi amped, as this is the case I could leave the PMC's plugged into the cimema amp. And just use headphones on the Arcam which I mostly do.
