Banana plugs for Rotel RA-01

Hi Have just bought four gold plated banana plugs from Maplin to connect speaker cable to my Rotel RA-01 amp but they don't fit. Even with moderate pressure,they seem to big.

The Rotel manual states that 'dual banana type' connectors can be used but I think this is referring to 2 plugs joined together. I tried an old 'split' type plug which fits ok but really want to use the gold plated banana type. Plus i've now opened the packets.

Is there a particular type of banana plug I should be using? Any help appreciated.

I find these a more relaxed fit.

Thanks.They fit ok once I got the amp out and applied a bit of pressure.
