Hi there. I currently have cm8 B&W fronts and cm centre. My sub is a Jamo sw2010 that I've had for years. I have been encouraged to upgrade my sub to either a velodyne impact12 or B&W sw610. Is it really worth upgrading my current sub? If it is which of the 2 is better for music and movies?

Please help

I have same speakers and an older, cheaper KEF sub. Now looking to change the KEF sub, if worthwhile.

With the CM8s and CM Centre, I was recommended to go for either the B&W ASW10CM, or wait for the new B&W PV1D due in April.

I understand that the ASW10CM has more "welly" and the PV1D will have more "finesse", if I can summarise.

I haven't tried any yet, as waiting for the PV1D to arrive in shops, to do a proper comparison.

Hey

If you feel you need a better sub with you cm front's an center. asw610 might not be the best choice.

True the cm is a bit expensive but why not try the 610xp is a lot cheaper

I'm really happy about it

On the other hand the Velodyne have a remote I think witch can be quite handy

It's not true that B&W asw610 xp is cheaper. It's double the price of the asw610 and it's 500 watts vs 200w.

True but the cm is about 1350 here and the 610xp is about 1000euro so so if you considering it might be a good alternative

But oké I say this but I managed to get a really good deal on the xp ;-)
