The awards issue was great, and helped me narrow my choice of system upgrade. I eventually bought Cyrus 8 amp, Acram CD192 and Monitor Audio Silver RS6 speakers.

Always audition before you buy folks.

In the good old days you used to have an "also consider" section alongside each winner. Why don't you do this anymore?

I thought about that the other day too!!! The last few "awards" issue were not quite the same as before. My favourate was 2003! that was a great read, good sense of humour and more in dept explaination of "why they won".
