Hi, am curious - how long would you listen to a system / speaker / amp before you decide you love the sound?

is it a love at first sound? - if it is do you ever regret the purchase later?

or do you listen to it over a more extended period of time, go back and haunt the dealer a few times for more auditions before putting the money down?

then again, I realize it might not be a fair question to ask all your "more experienced ears" 😉

I had a friend who told me it was easier for him to decide on what he liked or didn't like within the first 5 mins because he already knew what improvement he wanted over his existing B&W speakers

The problem comes when someone listens to a pair of speakers for 15/20 minutes, then changes to another pair, and instantly doesn't like them. It takes time to adjust to a different tonal balance or presentation.

Feel free to go back for another listen just to make sure. Your dealer won't mind.
