Hi I am new here. Just put an order for an Audiolab 8200DQ. This is to go with my Cambridge Audio 651w power amp. Recently had an Arcam fmj A19 but it is really not very well made and as far as I am concerned is pretty useless....transformer hum is loud , remote is awful piece of equipment.. I had gone over to all digital inputs with another DAC, untill I bought a SACD player. So I need an anolgue imput, hence the hybrid DAC. Thing is I have a chance of picking up a matching Audiolab power amp 8200 P. On paper the Cambridge seems better, but I feel the Audiolab will be a better match for the DAC. The Audiolab amp. does not have XLR inputs which is a bit of a worry.

Be very obliged if anyone could advise me. I am disabled and cannot get out of the house except on rare occasions. So auditions are a real problem to say the least. Do like my B & W speakers 586s2. nice clear sound not warmed by too much bass.

Many thanks......Mitty.
