Hello

I have just got a very good deal for a pair of Wharfedale Jade 5, 1x8200CDQ and 2x8200M. So far everythinhg is sweet, still running in and awaiting the delivery of better cables.

The manual says that 8200CDQ can be used as a player only, without the preamp stage. Let's say, I have a stereo integrated amp from another maker and I want to use it with the 8200CDQ. In this case I should cancel/bypass the built in preamp stage of 8200CDQ and control the volume from the stereo integrated amp, not from 8200CDQ.

Can anyone advice the steps I should follow? The manual says something but is not very clear. I am at my first hifi system, not very technical and afraid of doing something wrong. I mean, I may be non technical but able to understand that I can break it if doing it wrong.

Many thanks

Hold down the menu button and and switch it back on

Select the ouput level with the jog buttons
