Atacama Equinox

Hi all, Some advice on a stand for my gear is needed! Would it be acceptable to utilise a pair of Atacama 180mm add-on shelf units as a stand without purchasing the base unit? Does the base unit add anything to the Equinox system or is it just to get you started? Cheers

well the base would give you the feet, and also (i'd guess be more stable as the bottom shelf is permanently (from the look of it) attached to the verticals.
