Are Camtech and Audiolab the same company???

I have found for sale the following items: Camtech p101 power amplifier,Camtech c101 pre-amplifier.

They are listed as being the same as the Audiolab 8000p and Audiolab 8000c respectively, and the name was changed for the German market.

They certainly look the same as the audiolabs but just wondered if anyone knows if this is in fact the case?

Intriguing. Audiolab is now owned by the IAG Group in China, which also owns Wharfedale, Quad, Castle and Mission (among others). I haven't come across the Camtech name before, but did a quick Google search and found the same items you may have done for sale on ebay.

I'd double-check with IAG on Monday just to be sure. Their number is 08454 580011, so suggest you call them as the specs might be slightly different if they were sold in another market.

Have just heard back from a technical advisor at IAG and he confirmed that the above is indded true.

Entirely unintriguing, really - Audiolab was always sold as Camtech in Germany, since another company already had the name when Audiolab first started up in business.
