Apple TV stream internet radio like itunes?

does apple tv stream internet radio like Itunes does? an also does my Pc/Mac need to be turned on for can I save all music etc.. to the apple tv?

You need to use a PC/Mac to get the music on there in the first place, yes, but once you've done that it works as a standalone music server.
