Hi, I am seriously considering putting my CD collection onto an iPod Classic and using as a musical jukebox, ie shuffle........been using Last.fm and love the variety.......so was wondering which dock would give the best audio results, thanks for any help...Richard......

The Classic by itself is a piece of poop.
However, you have a DacMagic, so get a digital dock like Onkyo's ND-S1, and suddenly the Classic is gold.

And if you get a Touch instead, you have access to Spotify and Last.fm and Simplify and blah de blah. Onkyo dock is obligatory though...
Im still not sure whether coaxial or optical is the best choice between the Onkyo and Dacmagic, any preferences/comparisions done by fellow posters or the WHF staff ? Thanks......
My comparison wasn't extensive, but I use and prefer coax because it cuts out the stage of converting to optical and back, but there isn't much in it, if anything at all.
Doesn't it come with optical and coax cables? You could try it out yourself and see what you prefer or if you can hear a difference and then if you believe digital cables make a difference, buy a better quality of whichever one you prefer. I think the coax cable I bought makes a difference.
