Anyone running two centre speakers in 5,1?

Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone was running two centre speakers across the front sound stage and what was the upside / downside of doing this in a standard 5.1 set up.

I have a 12ft separation between front left and right and wondered if a second centre speaker would help the front soundstage or not really make a difference

speakers are MA GS60s, GS LCR

any opinions welcome

A second centre speaker is a contradiction in terms, surely, and would only harm the soundstage. Your fronts could well be 12ft apart, but it depends on your listening position. How far are you away from the TV and speakers? Could you angle-in the speakers a bit more?
