hi all,

just after any ideas on what would be a decent indoor fm aeriel.

ive just puchased a denon tu260 mark 2 tuner of ebay, which is to be coupled with my rega system.

i know its a rather bland subject but any advice would be hugely appreciated.

Sounds daft I know but as we dont use our standard TV aeriel (due to having virgin) I've plugged mny Denon in to that using a standard aeriel leqad and its perfect

I've tried a power am/fm indoor antenna and also taken it to my folks where they have an FM antenna in the loft and it makes no difference

If you use your standard tv aeriel socket just buy a splitter from Maplins for £.99p!

It is T shaped so you will need to affix the 'arms' of the T horizontally about 2m up from your tuner (the length of the downlead).

The direction the arms of the T are oriented will be trial and error depending on reception conditions in your room against different walls. (the arms of the T are a half wave dipole and will be less or more sensitive to the signal depending on position.)

If the T aerial works best a position that is inconvenient (nowhere near the hifi), then buy a suitable length of fully screened coax to run from the back of the tuner and along the skirting board to where the aerial's down-lead meets it on the floor.
