Just got mine yesterday and I can't beleive the picture quality, especially using HDMI. Was using the PS3 through a CRT whilst waiting for the set and was blown away when I connected it last night....why did I wait so long to get a plasma!!!!
I do have a couple of questions though. On switching the set on and watching Sky+ during the setup of the set I was watching the Flower Show - not my usual viewing pleasure but I though with all the flowers etc it would give me a better picture to set it up. The first question is that around any human especially the head it was a bit fuzzy - not as sharp as the rest of the picture as all the hedges etc were amazing. Now would that because it was a live broadcast or does the set have to 'warm' up first? After the inital setup I did use the THX optimiser on the Cars disk - I have the HD setup DVD coming in the post.
The next question is connections. I have Sky+, PS3 and an LG905PB (I think its a 5) all in one system. Now i have Sky connected to the TV through scart and to the LG via optical link - works a treat. I then have the LG connected to the Panny using HDMI - again no probs. Now the PS3 is connected to the TV as you would expect through HDMI but I'd like to play the sound through the LG rather than the TV's speakers, does anyone have any idea on how to do this please as I can only see 1 Optical link (which is in use) and 1 HDMI link on the back of the LG, there is component connections but then there isn't on the back of the PS3 and I don't really want to buy a cable when i don't reall need to.
