ANOTHER MAINS QUESTION

I want to upgrade my mains cable to my marantz 7003 CD player but looking at the socket in the back of the unit it only has 2 pins were as all the leads i've looked up have 3. Its the same shape, rectangular with the top corners chamfered but only 2 pins. Any ideas ? Also whilst I'm here mains conditioners is there one similar in value to the Tacima but only with 2 sockets, the six socket unit would be to big for were its needed.

who I have always found to be very helpful. The socket looks as if it would fit a three pin IEC plug, but it is maybe designed to work with only the two pins. Would the cable that was supplied by Marantz also plug into a three pin socket?

J.B, with regards to your second question re a two socket mains conditioner, the minimum seems to be 4. I have two, Russ Andrews 2 way sockets (which do not appear to be available any more), but the problem is that the sockets face each other, rather than being in line, so they limit what you can plug into them. Only standard plugs will fit. So four appears to the best compromise.

hi try one of these, i've got the six way version and it's awesome!

truly makes a big difference, i've tried a tacima i feel this is much better on opening up the sound and detail!

i use clearer audio copper alpha mains leads for all my kit which i feel helps alot!!
