Can you actually record the freesat broadcast which you receive on the new panasonic tvs? the reason i ask is I have a panasonic tv and get setanta via the cam slot but dont know how to record setanta. Am i just missing the obvious!

The answer is probably yes. There is a diagram on page 42 /43 of the manual (available from the Panasonic web site as a download) that shows you how to wire it all up.

Generally anything that's on the screen can be recorded via the SCART AV2 socket on the back of the TV by connecting it to a suitable device. I think the HDMI 2 socket on the TV may offer the same functionalitly.
