That would depend upon what he is referring to exactly.I was advised by a dealer that several/a certain number of hours playing increases sound.
Is this correct?
I don't.For amplifiers, do you notice the sound improve after a certain number of hours' playing?
If it s that cold then you may get condensation on the unit and you should not switch it on until it has warmed up to the environment it is in, otherwise it might cause damage to the components. (Other than that then no)If a Amp is in a very cold environment surley it would be beneficial to let it warm up ?
No and Yes, NO the sound does not change at all, YES your ear/brain gets used to the new sound and so you automatically think it sounds better or worse.I am talking about it loosening up/sounding better after it has been used for a certain amount of hours, rather than switched on before use.
Funny enough, the opposite is probably true.If a Amp is in a very cold environment surley it would be beneficial to let it warm up ?
Hi, just several minutes for good class AB amp needed, tube amp needs some 30 min to get into best shape- sound.😉For amplifiers, do you notice the sound improve after a certain number of hours' playing?
If so, how many hours are needed?
Some say it is not really a thing.
😁👍I recently heard someone saying that a Moon amplifier should burn-in for 200 hours, and he said that exactly after 200 hours everything snapped into place. I never heard such bollox.
A lot depends on how much snake oil you have poured into your ears before listening.I was advised by a dealer that several/a certain number of hours playing increases sound.
