I'm at a loss what / whom to beleive.

Freeview.co.uk STILL states I can't receice any digital channels, despite having had all channels with 100% signal strength since I moved to my area 8 years ago.

It states it get its info from digitaluk.co.uk. However, that site correctly tells me I get Freeview and that I'll get FreeView HD after my switch over date sometime in March next year.

Should I be excited? should I be sizing up a Freeview HD PVR?

Thanks

You've sort of answered it really.

You already get all the Freeview channels at 100% signal strength.

Unless they are going to move everything in your area to a new transmitter (unlikely) then you will be good for Freeview HD.

From March the Freeview HD channels from Rowridge (my local transmitter) are going to go out with 10 times the present power after analogue is switched off.

I'm not sure if your bit of Chichester is served by Rowridge or not. If it is, then your signal should be even better.

They've hardly made that site user-friendly have they?

These are my results - so the answer is yes to HD... I think.
