Hello all,

My Yamaha receiver (rxv2065) has just arrived today and i am trying to connect my cables up to it. I bought QED Silver XT for the centre and 2 fronts all fitted with banana pins with QED micro for the rears - also with banana fittings at the receiver side.

The banana pins fit into the back of the Kef speakers no problem but it seems a real tight fit and probably looks about 1mm to big for fitting into the receiver speaker points. Any advice as i do not want to force them in as its only plastic screw fittings on the receiver?

Also the 2 rear speakers i have not used banana fittings but would it be best to cut the cable and drip some solder iron on to the ends or just use bare cables?

Any advice would be appreciated or if people have had the same issues?

Thanks

Have you taken out the speaker terminal bungs on the receiver so the banana plugs will fit? If not, they need to pop out before using the banana plugs.........

Secondly, I used a bit of solder on my QED micro cable connected to the rear speakers, just for neatness sake.

Hope that helps.....
