Advice needed for inputs into DAC

I have been using a Cambridge Audio Isomagic DAC with a CD transport connected via optical. The Isomagic also has a coaxial input. I am pretty sure the Isomagic was designed for only one input at a time so what would happen if I also connected my Squeezebox via the spare coaxial? I am thinking particularly of a worse case scenario where the DAC receives signals from both the CD and Squeezebox at the same time. The CD is clock locked via optical, would that affect anything? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi there,

Did you ever get an answer to the above question or are you currently running your setup as described? I want to do exactly the same thing but obviously don't want to damage any components in feeding the isomagic two inputs.

Won't damage anything. Presumably the DAC will lock on to whichever signal has data on it first.
