Active loudspeaker for my living room?

Hi,

I am looking for tips and ideas on a pair of active loudspears for my living room. I already own a DacMagic which is fed via my PC og my Squeezebox and I want a pair of active loudspeakers that can play hifi-musical playback at high SQ-levels.

My budget is about 1000£.

Any ideas?

I can clock the 9.1s in at a grand so they are within my price range, but some say they are a bit spitty and forward?

I will check out the others. More suggestions are highly appreciated.

I would love it if they were able to produce bass in decent amounts in my 4 by 5 meter room.

BUT, on the cheap side, how well would a pair of Audioengine 5s stand against this competition on the end of my DACMAGIC?

Noted. What about AVI Neutron 2.1s? My usage is music, TV, PS3 and movies - music is critical. All of those digital inputs look really appealing to my eyes.
