Account update?

Have tried on several occasions now,to update my account..ie photo and new kit. i keep getting told it has updated and can take 10 minutes? yet 7 days later and nothing has changed? Am i doing something wrong??

Updating your avatar doesn't work currently (unless you use a link to a web-hosted pic, IIRC). Mail us at whathifi@haymarket.com, with subject 'dave k avatar' and Mr E will sort it.

As for biog - are you updating your signature? If so, I'd recommend not putting any hyperlinks in it (ie http://blah blah) or you'll get yourself deleted. Some older forum users are able to do it, but newer ones are not - spam avoidance I'm afraid.

I have done this and it seemed to confuse the recipient having "dave k avatar" as the subject when my name is clearly not Dave K...

Sorted now - we did say in the past to email with the subject

'insert your username here avatar'

but we got lots of emails headed - you guessed it -

'insert your username here avatar'!

Maybe you need to make it simpler Andrew, something along the lines of:

'[You're username] avatar'
