ok early next year i am keen on adding an arcam alpha9 power amp to go with my intergrated amp. but one of the plus's to a pre and power i have heard is to get rid of the power supply in the pre amp and give a cleaner signal to the power amp. With it being not a pre amp will it bypass the power supply in the intergrated amp or pass through it. and can i still single wire off the power amp or will i really need to use bi-wireable speakers many thanks

No, the integrated amp's power supply will still be active: it'll still be needed to drive the preamp section, but the power amplifier section of the integrated won't be driving a speaker load, so won't be placing a demand on that power supply.

And yes, you can still single wire off the new power amp.
