Ive just read the article in this months magazine about upscaling, now i noticed you had the Denon 2500bt transport set to 1080p, i currently have the resolution set to "auto" (which is the players default setting) on the Denon as it states if you set it to auto then the player automatically detects the connected devices resolution and therefore would upscale to fit that resolution accordingly, so just to verify this is having the denon set to auto in theory the same as setting it to 1080p?

When i press my info button on my plasma it says its "1080p", so i take it that the Denon is still doing the upscaling even when set to auto? As if the tv were doing it then it would say on the screen 576p?

I do believe im hopefully right on this? Or would it be recommended to set it to 1080p or doesnt it really matter between the two settings?

My plasma is full HD.

Joe Cox:Yes, you're right. If your screen is full HD, your Denon's 'auto' setting will be 1080p.
So therefore the Denon is doing the upscaling?

Thanks for verifying this for me Joe.
