I am not one of those that must have 4k . I have many hundreds of 4 k downloads (sport mainly) I collect boxing and wrestling recordings mainly from the internet . The 1080P and 720P /i i have hundreds of them , mainly from 2000. I found very little difference between 1080P and 4k played through my 50 inch screen . in quality But 720P there is . I can only play back 4k from my TCL and large PC monitors . The 2016 Sony cannot ,so no way of playback on USB the 4k .
What will be a problem is not some matches i have now are on 8k too , obviously using a 8 k camera. I just wonder this be the norm soon . How long i will have to get a 8k TV . the cost is high at the moment . Just hoping they continue with these fights recordings on 4k 1080P too.
Other alternative is to buy a large 50 inc monitor , but they expensive. So i will keep what i have now and record matches and other sports on both 1080P and 4 k as separate recording now from now onwards . Any advice ?

Oh yes i forgot to mention i am a coach advisor and mentor , for a ladies league of both wrestling and boxing . All the ladies involved are between 40 and 52 now . we have now 4 ladies 2 of which live in France. and a new lady ,we hope will join the team.
I just cannot see the point of 8k unless have a huge screen of 100 ins.

You won't have to get an 8K TV - 4K is hardly the standard at the moment. It'll be a long time, if ever, that you will have to upgrade to an 8K TV.
4K TVs sets are standard now just the transmissions are not. 8K i know this is available in Japan and Korea . But agin what is the point of making it available. ? well did several downloads last night and in 2480 P But what available in 1080 4k 5kand 8k . 5k is one not seen before is the 2160 ? Why 5k ???I assume a tv with 8k resolution is capable of 5k too ?

Your screen will scale the incoming signal (whatever resolution it is) to its own native resolution, unless it can't accept the signal, i.e., if the TV input can't accept 5K or 8K resolutions, or the carrier it uses.

5k is odd , very odd . I seen some video online are at 5k .There are now 8k available and i pretty sure in Japan i seen advertised 16 k yes Sony with a 63 ft screen . I can only see a cinema at all interested in one of these ? But no a 110 inch tv shown B O E of China will be the first available outside China . The biggest TV here i seen is 85 inches inches but Hisense has a 98 inch at £1800 but it appears to be old tech . model ???

5k tends to be Apple and other computer screens. Won't be a resolution we'll see outside of that.

Not sure what you mean about the Hisense 98 inch screen screen being old tech?
The Hisense is priced very cheap i suspect it is a 2022/3 model they could not sell for some reason too cheap in fact, what am i missing from this huge TV. >>

A number of my vids i download has 5k but also offers 1080P 720P 4k and 8 k is this because might be downloading from a Apple PV ?? Note now 16 k is on a Chinese TV which is 62 ft in length but a much smaller one has also come out with 16 k From the same company and the size is over 90 inches

I'm not sure anyone is missing anything. For most it is way too big. You would require a big room for such a screen. Probably drink a lot of electric too. Any TV that size at that price will come with compromises I'm sure.

65 or 77 for me next tele...

70 is becoming a standard in many house , as thy can be put on a wall ( to be honest its the only place they can be now . 90 will be next i can bet on that one . This probably mean the guys want better than 4K , because of the size of the TV yes but who transmits in 8k . No one here in the UK The games market is another thing entirely Me ? sticking to what i have now . may get a 55 one day

Where do you hear 70 inches is becoming the standard in many homes?

Only a couple of manufacturers making 70 inch televisions I thought?

TCL has the 75V6BK 2024 model Hisense 75 TVE7K at £949 this is a 144 hz 2023 model they have a similar one £799 2023 model TCL has a QLED modelC745K 144 hz £899 Samsung has C7100 model £750 TCL has another 75 inch 75C655 QLED £750 /There are many more bargains on Amazon LG Samsung Hisense has a 70 inch 70A6B £600 Best buy is the last TV yes it is a 2023 model Hisense at £600 / I mean okay it is an older model and probably 50 hz too this is not said nut i suspect it is Why pay £2000 for a Sony , that probably be out of date in a couple of years time when can get these models for less than £800 just because it was last years model. I love Sony myself i just bought a 2016 Sony 48 inch for £80 works great. at a charity shop. But £2k wow , that is a lot of money. And it be worth less than half than in 2 years . Got to keep it at least 5 years ,to make it a good deal . Second values drop like in the Ocean ( remember vat is 20% of the value ) from day one so that TV you bought at £2k is really £1600 . No one would pay £1600 for a TV that is only 3 months old or less . So you have to keep it as long as possible ! Yes a Sony will last a lot longer than a Hisense or a TCL or any TV other than perhaps a Samsung. It be interesting how long guys/Gals keep your top of the range TVs or forced to keep them because ,paid so much? for them By the way my new TV cost me in 2023 £256 for a TCL 50 inch . Okay it may be "crap" to you guys here. The TV is on 20 hours a day ! Was more than a little surprised about it. It was a pig when i got it. Kept going on Shop mode , every time i put it on( hence why it was so-cheap) The instructions was confusing to say the least Then the light bulb came on , and worked out how to make sure it never came on again. ( 9 months of use )/ Best £256 i have ever made / My next tv ( other than my Sony in the bedroom) will be a Hisense and not a TCL and a QLED (copy of Samsung idea) 75hz or better
