Evening all.

I've been trying to get my 3GS unlocked for a while now but every time i try the providers website says 'sorry, we can't unlock your phone at this time'

It would seem that Apple aren't supplying the codes for the moment.

Anyone know why?

Cheers.

Cliff.

Thanks BB but unfortunately its second hand.

Although its locked to Orange, many companies will provide an unlocking service for a fee(about £50), but it seems said service is offline at the mo'.

Just wondered if anyone knew why?

Cheers.

I bought mine second hand and transferred my existing Vodafone SIM card into it. At the end of the contract I phones Vodafone and they unlocked it for me free of charge. Try Orange again when your phone contract is up or when the phone is 12 months old. They should play ball.

Thing is, with jail broken phones if you try to update to the next I.o.s release it can end up 'bricking' your phone. And once jail broken there's no going back.

thanks for all the comments but I'm still none the wiser regarding Apple.

anyone?

Cheers.

Cliff.
