Thank you for letting us know, Andrew. I had opened a similar issue to discussion under the LCDs/projectors thread. I came up with a bargain shortlist, amongst which Andy suggested either Acer or Samsung, but your views are also welcome as I am still indecisive (Acer looks the best, but contrast ratio is the lowest). Not sure on those sets, as have had no direct experience of any of them. But that contrast ratio on the Acer would worry me a bit - probably fine as a computer monitor, but I'd have worries it'd look a bit 'flat' when used for movies or TV.
