2024 was the year I finally set up my turntable system – but has it been worth it?

"It was a joy being able to put on a physical record and listen - actually pay attention and listen - to music"

My goodness when are these articles extolling the act of listening to vinyl records as if undergoing some kind of religious epiphany going to end? I'm glad you're happy with your new turntable, but is there a possibility you are paying more attention to the music due to that you are using the experience to write this article? The 'vinyl revival' has been in full swing for quite a few years, this seems like a standard article that resurfaces every 6 months

It boggles the mind to see speakers sharing the same, not particularly vibration absorbing shelf with an unsuspended turntable.
I mean, I keep my well suspended / damped Oracle turntable on a separate shelf and I’m still not 100% convinced there’s no interference.

That set up is far from ideal for vinyl playback. The speakers won't deliver anywhere near the dynamics vinyl is famous for. Best stick with the CDs for album listening,
