1. I'm guessing headphones need to be run in as speakers would? Is there and particular way I should do this or for how long? Grado SR80 btw.

2. I've read several times I should leave my equipment on? why is this? On as in standby, or fully on? or continually playing?? surely this just reduces the product life??

Thanks.

1. Don't sweat it. They'll just get better over a couple of veeks of normal usage.

2. There's an argument that doing so keeps everything wramed up and ready to work at its best. Standby/fully on depends what the standby does, and how much of the product it keeps warmed up. But not continually playing. And no, it's less stressful to the product than continually being turned on and off, or heated up and cooled down. A lightbulb turned on and off repeatedly will last less time than one left on continually.

2a. But it's not very 'green', if that concerns you.

Lovely, cheers.

No not too worried about the carbon shoe mark or whatever it's called this week.

**goes to top up the fire with a couple of Pirelli's**
