£400 Used speakers

If you had up to £400 to spend on a used pair of loudspeakers what would you recommend?

Or would you spend £400 on a new pair?

I have this dilemma.....help

Would rather have floorstanders but can be swayed

2nd hand will get you more speaker for your money. A new one will give you the warranty.
