£400 for B&W 805S STANDS- WORTH IT? ANY OTHER RECOMENDATIONS?

After ages of searching and a few returned speakers i think i finally have a speaker i will keep for a while. They are the 805S. I got an excellent deal on the speakers but the dealer wanted 300 pounds for used dedicated stands. I told the dealer i would think about it. Basically is there anything to gain from paying 300 pounds for the dediacated stands over say a pair of partington Dreadnaught broadsides for 200 odd new. I have seen a offer for a used pair of partington ultima for 200. Apart for asthetics is there any reason i should pay 100 pound more for the dedicated stands? Any other stands under 250 (used/new) i should consider?

why not ask the dealer for a deal, if your willing to pay £200.00 cash that might twist his hand.
other than that i would go the 2nd hand route from that well known auction site.
