hdmi distribution amplifier

    If I use an HDMI distribution amplifier, can I connect HDMI from my HTPC to it to output 2 HDMIs one for 5.1 sound to AVR and one to the TV for HDR?

    Basically what the title says. Is that right? sounds like a noob question because it is. I've only known of HDMI splitters and only the cheap ones, haven't had any experience with something more high tech so forgive the ignorance. I want the pc to output HDR video because it cannot be done...
