I've owned the icon around 1 month and I also was blown away how good this unit sounds. The dac in the icon sounds noticeable better than my Hegel H190 IAM using Dali menuet se speakers in this set up.

I've watched a few reviews on eversolo products thin and brighter sound is mentioned on a few of them that's including there new amplifier that matches the A10.

Perhaps you were looking at the most expensive XLR cables. Ewa cables are much cheaper than Tellerium and equally as good .

Have a look at ewa cables stunning for the price. The designer was the leading man behind Tellerium cables before the company parted ways with Colin.

Hi Geoff52 I've owned the concept 20s and they are a very easy speaker to listen to really well made and look great on there own stands. I had the piano black ones. You will need a subwoofer with them though for the really low stuff.

Not just rel bk electronics also use high level connection for music implementations. When I've done A-B comparisons with dual subs between high level and low level connections the high level always sounds better this is in a music only system. I don't know about the above I just used my ears...

The Samsung Q990D sound bar does sound excellent and can be had for under £1000 . I've owned really expensive movie systems over 10k and the Samsung for what it is does a outstanding job with atmos if you can try and get a demo of it.

My next purchase will probably be a Hegel H400 some time early next year love the sound of Hegel amps you can listen to them for hours without fatigue.

I run a little rel T-zero with my Dali menuet se and a Hegel H120 and it works very well with the Dalis main thing to do is connect the subwoofer up high level not a low level connection sub out it will integrate much better connected high level.

I've pre ordered a pair of buchardt E50 speakers for my birthday and Xmas hopefully they will be here by then .

I'll bet it will sound less boomy even with big cushions behind your back to move you forwards. Iam listening to my system now with heavy bass and it sounds fab.

Is your sofa seating position against the back wall because if it is that will most definitely cause boomy bass as I found out myself!.
