Rega v Project - how do Planar 3/6 differ to X2/Classic Evo?

I am looking to upgrade a 20-year-old Project 2 turntable with Ortofon 2M Blue, using Marantz PM 6010 OSE amp and Monitor Audio Bronze B2 speakers. I’m torn between either Project X2/Classic Evo and Rega Plannar 3/6 and having thought I’d get a Project, I’m now veering towards the Plannar 6...

    Rega v Pro-Ject TT & Elys v Ortofon Cartridge

I'm increasingly tempted to go for the X2. as Pro-Ject has shown my its durability for 20 years. I'm guessing it should have a similar sound to what I have, only better even with my existing setup.

I do have the Blue 2M. What TT would you then suggest or try to the X2 minus the Silver stylus?

I’d never thought of the Edwards, only really Rega. How does the sound differ to Project?

Thanks, AI ears, would you say the X2 doesn’t offer much more than the X1?

    Rega v Pro-Ject TT & Elys v Ortofon Cartridge

Thanks, Daytona 600. I’m really tempted to remain on Project rather than move to Rega as when I originally tested Rega v Project I got the Project 2... Do you know how different the sound and performance is of X1 and X2 And if the latter is worth the extra money? Are they essentially the...

    Rega v Pro-Ject TT & Elys v Ortofon Cartridge

I am looking to upgrade my Project 2 with Ortofon 2M Blue. It has been a terrific servant for two decades but it has developed a couple of issues and I'm thinking it might be better to invest in a new turntable than buy parts/pay for repairs. I have been doing some research but wondered if...
