The Prodigy 1 look interesting to me, a bit over budget but if I can get a listen then I certainly will!

A good point, at the back of my mind is the fact that I'm happy with what I have and won't gain any huge benefit from an upgrade. I'm leaning a lot more towards staying with Dali of some sort.

I've seen many positive reviews about them, I'm wondering if the Opticon 1 and 2 are a big enough step up to justify upgrading.... I really like the sound of my Oberon 1s but I'm keen to hear what more money gets you!

That's interesting to hear, I'm also very happy with mine. I'm wondering if I've got upgradeitis! I'm still going to demo some options just to make my mind up either way. I'm very keen to listen to some other Dali stuff - mainly the Opticon 2, Oberon 3 and Menuet.

I think some standmounts are designed to sound bigger than they actually are, with pronounced bass and top end and large drivers. My local hifi shop is an AE dealer so I will try to give these a demo. I'm going to also try and listen to some smaller speakers just to compare to the Oberon 1...

I will definitely give the Oberon 3 a try, it will be interesting to compare to the 1s. Also the Opticon 2s, there isn't much coverage of these as far as I can see.
