    Phono Stage

Thanks for all the advice regarding the phono stage. I’m going to have to leave it for a while as I’ve just blown my budget on a pair of Spendor A5R’s in white *biggrin*

    Phono Stage

I look forward to seeing you on the dark side *good* Youre a fair bit further up the price ladder than I’m looking at. Is this your first Graham Slee phono stage? I’d like to hear your thoughts and experiences of Graham Slee ownership

    Phono Stage

hi ifor i take it being an owner you’re a regular on the forum. I’ve only managed to register and have a quick nosey round upto now but it looks friendly enough and I do plan on being a regular over there. I don’t tend to post too often on Hi-Fi forums. Not because I just want to use them to...

    Phono Stage

Thanks for the suggestion iceman. Never heard of them. I’ll check em out. Al ears I’m a big believer in second hand. Apart from my turntable all my Hi-Fi is second hand. What’s your thoughts? As you say I would be daft not to trial the Graham Slee at home in my system. It turns out one of the...

    Phono Stage

Hi all I'm looking at retiring the 8000A and will probably replace it with an 8200CDQ so I will be needing to add an external phono stage. My budget is upto £300 and at the moment the frontrunner is probably the Graham Slee GramAmp 2 SE. I've joined the forum and put my name down for the loan...

    OPPO DIGITAL SONICA DAC

I’d be interested to see how you find the Oppo as I’m looking for a new pre amp to go with the Audiolabs. I was considering the Yamaha Wxc 50 like you but wasn’t sure it would be good enough. The Oppo fits the bill nicely on paper and would enable me to lose my network player. I’ll be following...

    Marantz ND8006

i’d agree With this. Having been in the same boat thinking about upgrading the na6005 to the 8005 I decided to upgrade my amp instead. I was running an Audiolab 8000a as pre with 8000p for power. It sounded god but as on the other thread a Marantz PM14 came up but wouldn’t fit my cabinet. Anyway...

    Marantz PM14S1SE - Couldn’t resist

Congratulations on your purchase. I’m sure you’ll love it. Was lucky enough to get an ex demo one for 950 from Peter Tyson in April. As been said it is a big heavy beast and will do your back no favours getting it out of the box. I knew it would be a struggle to fit it in my cabinet but at that...

    Acoustic Energy AE1active

good stuff. I’d be grateful for feedback when you’ve had chance to hear them. Really fancy a pair of these with a Yamaha wxc50 pre amp

What vinyl are you listening to?

Months ago for some reason I bought Billy Elliot on bluray. Record store day comes around and I bought T Rex - Electric Warrior. Anyway Sunday night her indoors decides to watch a film and picks out Billy Elliot. So tonight everyone's in bed and I put the album on. Love this album.

    Rega Planar 1 Cartridge

I know what you mean having re-read the op but I assumed he'd bought the turntable as he was unhappy with the contents of the user manual *unknw*

    Rega Planar 1 Cartridge

The 3 point mount is how the arm is fastened to the plinth. If you look at the base of the arm you will see 3 screws. If you do purchase a cartridge other than a Rega you will need to undo these screws and insert a shim between the plinth and the arm before refitting the screws. Rega do the shim...
