I have a 343 and connect with 685s2, I mainly listen to cds, sometimes movies, and stream music from iphone, for movies sound effect is involving enough, for music sometimes the bass is a little flat, but otherwise so far so good. You probably will have better experience with 646.

I pair my 685 with Onkyo 343, .so far so good, probably would be much better if you try the higher spec model. when purchase it was compared to yamaha 379 and I prefer the more subtle Onkyo, yamaha does make the sound feel larger tho.

I have a PS4 directly connected to TV, and then TV's sound is optical out to Onkyo 343. Just wondering if the HDMI signal (picture and sound wise) will be different if I connect PS4 to Onkyo then output to TV. Thanks.
