Magic Erasers, Stylus brushes, record brushes, LP cleaners?

I thought it worked .....probably. Then you grow up and read WhatHiFi and think maybe it wasnt a good idea afterall, then actually 'maybe' it wasn't too bad... If i find it i'll squirt it all over! *biggrin* I'll be dead before i see any detrimental effects....

Magic Erasers, Stylus brushes, record brushes, LP cleaners?

Thanks for replies guys. I'll probably get a middle of the road record brush and leave it at that.. I keep the records in their sleeves and the records are infrequently played.. I think a lot of the products i read about are overkill ..... And i think i'll ditch the blue bottle.!

Magic Erasers, Stylus brushes, record brushes, LP cleaners?

Im trying to understand the best combination of "value" purpose made or everyday cleaning products to clean stylus/records, that would be better than doing nothing, but also not going to crazy extremes either! I have a small library of records , rarely played, and a Project Debut player...

    Q Acoustics 3000 Stands - Dimensions & Alternatives

"Are these any good...possibly a touch low? I have some LS50s on them, but have a height restriction." https://www.richersounds.com/soundstyle-z2-stand-blk.html - These are virtually identical in top plate size to the Atacama Estilo, but they only have one post, so the Atacama wins only...

    Q Acoustics 3000 Stands - Dimensions & Alternatives

I think the Fisual Dynami would arguably be THE best compromise. The speakers are to be positioned beside a sideboard and the Fisual's are 600cm high.. The OH likes the height of the ones i already have which are 500mm, so Atacama Estilo is the best i can find as far as a small top plate and a...

    Q Acoustics 3000 Stands - Dimensions & Alternatives

Well i measured the top plate on my current stands.. Its roughly 17cm.. The footprint of the speakers is probably about 11cm due to the curvature of the case. So i'd be looking at nothing wider than 11cm or so.

    Q Acoustics 3000 Stands - Dimensions & Alternatives

They would seem to be suitable.. I think the 'plate' is 16.5cm wide. I just wanted a measuremnt from the q Acoustiics, as confirmation.. The closer i can get to the 'actual' measurements, for the stand that was intended. , the better.

    Q Acoustics 3000 Stands - Dimensions & Alternatives

These are brutal. *biggrin* The OH already doesnt like the stands i already have.! I'd also like to not have a tray to set the speaker on.. THe ones i have look fairly poor as the plate is larger than the footprint of the speaker.

    Q Acoustics 3000 Stands - Dimensions & Alternatives

Hi , I bought some Q Acoustics 3020 Speakers and currently have them on some unbranded speaker stands. I would be happy enough with the stands, if the top plate wasnt too big (and i don't see how you could change this)... I was therefore going to buy the Q3000 stands, but upon looking at...

    B&W DM 601 S1 - Smaller Newer Replacements

Beggars probably cant be choosers, and it matters little in reality (IMO), but the b&w are front.

    B&W DM 601 S1 - Smaller Newer Replacements

Hi, i want similar levels of sound, but i they need to be PHYSICALLY smaller. I have a new house, and where the speakers can go space is more limited.. They are mostly too tall. i dont expect to get thinner or shallower. I'd like the big sound, but I fear I may be on a hiding to nothing...

    B&W DM 601 S1 - Smaller Newer Replacements

Approx 16.5ft x 11ft. You're probably going to tell me im crazy to have speakers his size in that room! (Hopefully not, because sounds great to me!) ;)

    B&W DM 601 S1 - Smaller Newer Replacements

I have old B&W 601's, on two fairly ugly stands. The stands are too low in any case, but the speakers are also too big for their new location. Im trying to understand the output / impedeance of the B&W against modern counterparts but have no idea! I need substantially SMALLER speakers (even if...

MusicCast Compatibility and All in One systems

Well i went to RIcher Sounds and the Yamaha (with q acoustics 3020's) was poor. Really struggled with bass, and the mid was sharp but compressed sounding . I'm not an esxpert but it wasn't in the same league as a near 20yr old Kenwood Amp and Cambridge CD and B&W 601's. Daft Punk was terrible...
