Cyrus Soundkey Pixel Pro 7 compatibility

Morning all, I recently changed my phone from a Huawei P30 Lite New Edition to a Google Pixel 7 Pro. I'd purchased a Cyrus Soundkey to use with the Huawei because the output from the headphone socket was so low (particularly noticable when used plugged into the car). Now I'm trying to use the...

Sonos Play 5 or Sonos Connect amp with speakers?

Yes, it works with the 1s, 3s or 5s (single or stereo paired) and the Playbar.

Sonos Play 5 or Sonos Connect amp with speakers?

Have you thought about adding a sub the play:1 pair?

Audible delay - RCA input on Yamaha AV Amp

It doesn't matter, even in basic stereo it'll still be processing the audio. See if there is a source direct mode (it may have a different name), if you can enable that you may be able to defeat the delay.

The real cost of Hi Fi end systems

Errr, I think the latter point is exactly what they WERE saying. That's how I always read it.

    High resolution audio(not impressed)

This has been explained over and over again, it's a pointless conversation if you're not going to listen. There is NOTHING in a 24/96-192 recording that the human ear can hear that cannot be PERFECTLY reproduced by a 16/44.1 recording. Anything the human ear can't hear isn't relevant and may...

    High resolution audio(not impressed)

It's only nonsense if you're afraid of finding out that the downsampled 16-bit version sounds exactly the same as the 24-bit version it was created from. The CD/sacd/vinyl comparison doesn't work as you can't use the same equipment to play them all, you can with the 16/24 file comparison, so...

    High resolution audio(not impressed)

Errr, yes, that's what I said isn't it? I'll hold my hands and say I have bought 24-bit audio in the past, simply because of the off chance a different master was being used, however I've only done that when the price difference was minimal, eg Björk's Vulnicura was only a pound more for...

    High resolution audio(not impressed)

And you're obviously quite happy to be ripped off by a company charging more for the 24-bit version when the different master can be perfectly reproduced in 16-bit. THAT'S the point. If 24-bit audio was the same price as 16-bit nobody would care and nobody would bother having this argument...

Oh good, you'll be able to tell us all about Fourier then.

    High resolution audio(not impressed)

I think you're getting mixed up with dynamic range (a function of bit depth not sampling rate). If you set your sample rate to 44.1khz you will capture everything up to 22.05khz.

Involved with major studios in what capacity though? Did he explain how all sampling theory, proven over decades is completely wrong? Because that's what he's saying and unless he can provide the mathematics to show why the accepted theories could be so wrong then people will rightly be...

In a nutsack, yes. Much to nobody's surprise, sadly.

    High resolution audio(not impressed)

Yeah cos that always happens doesn't it? Nobody listens to experts, "Britain has had enough of experts". Do you mean why doesn't the industry just use the available dynamic range of CD instead of compressing the hell out of it? I think that's where this conversation started, with the op...

    High resolution audio(not impressed)

Sure, it's a trick but it's a trick that still results in a signal at a -105db level being recording onto a CD. It's also almost entirely irrelevant, as pointed out in the article, even the 96db range of CD is as good as unusable, due to the impossibility of creating a truly silent room.
