Best all in one turntable or cheap set up for a 16 year old beginner

Aha. Yeah all were good. The Thorens did need a new belt but that wasn't much. You just have to know where to look.

You wouldn't believe it. His taste in music is much like mine, it can range from some large scale Wagner, to low key Tracy Chapman, and everything in between. It deals with all of it beautifully. He even found some high quality speaker cable lying in a skip.

Best all in one turntable or cheap set up for a 16 year old beginner

Try some charity shops and even Cash Converters / Gumtree My Dad managed to find a thorens turntable for £10 in one. He also found some JPW speakers for £3 which are absolutely brilliant. And he also found a NAD C352 Amp for £30 in another shop. All in the space of one day. Getting a nice...

What speakers would you recommend with the Pioneer?

    CA 351a v 640a

Ah nice one guys. I have some CA S30's at the moment, which are quite nice, and will go well with the 351a. I may upgrade them to Q Acoustic 2020i's - what do you think about either speakers with the Pioneer amp? And the 351a? Honestly, the DAC in the 351a sounds good. And I love CA build quality.

    CA 351a v 640a

Hey all. I was thinking of upgrading my system from the CA A5 amp to a 351a once some money comes through. However, I just found a CA 640a online for £110. What do you think? Thanks in advance.

    New System

I think I'll gointo RS with a playlist of music and try it out on various set ups using the CA 351a, PM6004, Q Acousticss 2010i's, and Monitor Audio Bronze BX2's. I'm still leaning towards the 351a mainly because of its in built DAC which I quite need. One thing of note to any admins, the size...

    New System

I didn't really want to get the 2020i's because of their size. They're bigger than the S30's and they take up a lot of space as it is. My room is only 100 square foot but I want something that works both in a room that size, and when I eventually move, it will work in a larger space as well.

    New System

Yeah I was thinking of popping into them. The Frankenspiel's are desktop but they have the kind of size and aesthetics I was aiming for. I like the Q Acoustics 2010i mainly because of how cheap they are as well as the good reviews. The size is also really good. I'll try those with the CA 351a...

    New System

Hey all, I want to overhal my ageing system. Currently I ave a Cambridge Audio A5 amp with a pair of S30's. Through the amp I listen to almost every type of music, and I route the audio from my TV through it. What I'm thinking of doing is buying the Cambride Audio Azur 351A. Do you think I...

    Small System Overhaul

It does have some good reviews, and it's said to use all the successful specs of the 340A SE as well. Thanks for nudging me in the right direction. Do you have any idea's on decent wall brackets as well? :)

    Small System Overhaul

Oh and I'd thought I'd mention that I listen to a lot of music through my iTunes on my iMac with a 3.5mm to phono jack.

    Small System Overhaul

Hey guys, it's my first time posting so go easy! Anyways, I currently have a pretty decent budget system that I set up myself when I was about 16/17 and now that I'm 22 with a bit of money, I need to give it a small overhaul.. I have Cambridge Audio S30's (which I adore) attached to a CA A5...
