+1. I bought my SCM11s ex-demo from somewhere in scotland....can't remember the dealership but came with full warranty no problems. Although it's hard to imagine what could go wrong with them they look like they are built to last for a lifetime!

+ 1 for the "do nothing to the DAC" option! I have tried the same - and couldn't hear any difference between the Connnect DAC and an external one. Your ears may be better than mine....but I would say it is far from a necessary addition to your set up. Might be worth sorting the basics out...

This one seems easy. . . Your relationships are more important that bits of hi-fi kit. So put the speakers where the boss wants them to go. Buy long cables for them though, and then when she's out and you are having a listening session you can drag them out and put them in the right place...
